B: untitled.
So 8:30 rolled around and I was getting ready to plop down and blog for the night and thought, I need to exert enough energy to find something in this museum of knick knacks and odds and ends house of ours to photograph and make it look more interesting than it really is. I looked in all the china/belleek/custard cabinets, I looked at my antique camera collection. I looked in my closet, and even the utensil drawers. I looked at my computer tower (with no sides -- hardware all exposed!) and nothing caught my eye. But I walked into our family room, turned on the Christmas lights, and just like Christmas morning, EVERYTHING seemed to sparkle at me.
So I took about 25 different shots of literally four scenes. It's ridiculous how much of a goof I am about photographs. I like them to be just-so. You know?
I think I'm going to start asking your opinions on the shots I post ... as in which one should be my official photograph of the day, and why? I have a very difficult time narrowing down my choices. And I realize that part of being a great artist is being able to honestly critique your own work and determine what is best, but it's not like the images I post are two of the same shot. I can do that part, I just can't pick one shot of the many I take that completely defines my emotions, thoughts, and expressions in a given moment.
So what do you think? A? or B?
I like B a lot, but I think that A should be your photo of the day. The picture is so crisp that you can almost feel the heat from the lights and the prickle of the tree "leaves" and the reflection in the ornament is awesome! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteI like A. As Lily said, it's crisp, and I think with the reflection and the choice of ornament it has a lot of character.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys!
