Robby, day#7: nike shoes

hey again! I hope you don't mind if my photos aren't taken daily but they come from my recent travels. Sorry for this but I don't have time to shoot daily and most of the photos for the newspaper I work for are about current events like politics, press conferences, car crashes, sometimes dead people... so I think it would be more interesting showing you something else. today's pic comes from my travel in USA; a warm morning of last august I was walking in Amsterdam Avenue, going to B&H (biggest photography shop I've ever seen) and I saw a pair of nike shoes abandoned under a traffic light... I just loved them, I had the same ones when I was teenager, so I felt them a bit mine too. I like the background, people, cars, high buildings... it is so "NY-style", you know, for a guy used to live in a small city where the highest building is like 2 floors, NY is so... wow. I think this is one of the last picture taken with my old Canon camera...

pic's EXIF: Canon 350D + Sigma 17/70 2.8-4.5 DC Macro @ 17mm - 100 iso - f5.0 - 1/100sec

  2. You know, Robby ... any New Yorker probably would never have noticed those shoes sitting there. And even if they did, they certainly wouldn't have thought to photograph them.

Well done. I like it. The whole thing just screams "NYC!"
