Laura, Post 10. Wish you were here!

Breaking the rules! I didn't snap this today, but this is definitely where I was I was today. This cold snap is a bit much for this now-thin-skinned Florida girl!

Laura, Post 8. Didn't make it.

I forgot to cover/bring in my potted plants again last night. Sadly, they didn't make it :(

Laura, Post No. 7. Velo!

I've ridden this bike all over central and southern Indiana, and I hope to ride it all over central Florida! Today's temps in the mid-60s were perfect for a spin around my neighborhood.

Laura, Post No. 6. Spock.

From 365 Photography Project

This guy really knows how to spend a chilly January afternoon!

Thanks for the tips you posted a few days ago with my headless cat picture -- sneaking up on him while he was sleepy helped! See, I'm learning already :-)

Laura, post No. 5. Flower power!

I was very, very pleased when I woke up this morning and realized the begonias I'd forgotten to cover had, in fact, mostly survived last night's BIG CHILL. Yay!

Isn't hot coffee on cool mornings one of life's greatest pleasures? YES. 'Nuff said.

Laura, post No. 3. Oops.

I wanted to show the world my cat, but the dumb jerk wouldn't hold still. I promise you, dear reader, my feline friend does indeed have a head. Does anyone have any tips for photographing animals?

Laura, Post No. 2. Still life (Or a bunch of crap on the table in my foyer.)

I don't have any witty commentary for this photo -- I just like that all of the things I'd haphazardly placed on the table in the entry to my cozy, comfy condo kind of have a vibe. I've never been one to "decorate," I just like furnishing my house with things that I like. And I guess it all works -- even the bracelet I opted not to wear last minute and the Hello Kitty cake toppers still in the box. This is my stuff and this is me.

Laura, day No. 1: Queue the New Wave music...

I don't consider myself a photographer -- I'm a really more of an observer.

And early this afternoon while traversing Citrus County, Fla., I observed the strangest seagull congregation I'd ever seen in the parking lot in a shopping plaza. I literally saw hundreds of 'em just sitting there, several miles from the lake and even more miles from the coast.

And I ran, I ran so far away.
I just ran, I ran all night and day.
I couldn’t get away.

I'm really looking forward to this project. Can't wait to see your photos!
