Jared Day 10: Alison, I See Your Cat Photo And Raise You One

So I've been up for 27 hours and can't seem to find sleep... So I decided to mess with the cat. I can't believe I got her to move only her head for 30 seconds.

Harry: Day 10

I'm still seemingly stuck on the texture concept thing. Perhaps we should all try a theme or something. Also, Allison, I swore I left a comment for your lamp picture and I can't find it now.

Alison Day 10: We're already into double digit days!

this is Olive. He is the only thing worth taking a picture of tonight. And he's pretty displeased with the fact that I was taking them. Oh well. Today was a day that I didn't do much venturing out for photographs.

Seems like we're all kind of humdrum lately, right?

Jason: Day 9, Day 10, Day 11

Day 9: "OCD, Exhibit A"
Actually, this is not just a case of OCD (CDO, when alphebetized as it should be), this is actually how we're supposed to organize the pallets at work. My OCD kicks in when I set a limit of 25 bins per stack to keep it neat. I adjusted the color level so that it looked more like the actual colors as seen on any given day. Even though I might have lowered the exposure a bit, it still seems a bit too bright.

Day 10
I had a hard time picking a good sunset photo out of the 39 sunset photos I took on this day. This one struck me the most because of the hard orange color which quickly fades out around the edges. Also, the bush/tree being in the shot adds a certain mood to the shot, don't you think?

Day 11
First of all, I want to say that I cheated on this photo. I did not take any photos on this day, but I thought this shot from the day before was a good shot.
I was sitting at the "front circle" of the hospital and thought I would look around for some interesting shots. I zoomed in real close at the intersection in front of the hospital. This is one of many that I was able to take.

pabs(t)mear: First post: January

Greetings everyone...

I know that it is the 22nd and not the first but I figured better late then never. I am not a photographer, but I am interesting in capturing memorys, actions, and moments so that I may never forget what or why or where I have been.

1. "He was reduced to flirting with waitpersons"

2. "He's considered to be an expert on potential accidents" 3. "The would be well fed and given a safe place to sleep"

4. "Otherwise put, just like daily life"

5. "We have work to do, and loads to lift"

6. "Ill wind blow far and find a ready welcome"

7. "Addict," said Crake"
8. "fear has homogenized his bowel"

9. "His time, what a bankrupt idea"

10. "He too is a castaway of sorts"

Oz : New Year New Day

I have been on the run from myself for the past two weeks. The internet is sparse for this modern day carnie. I've been traveling so hence minimal posts. Moments, and memories are hard to capture, it is the mundane things that are the most striking to me. I love remembering moments in time, that’s what my posts are about. This is a year of change and I invite you to join me. Let’s explore this insane messy existence and the swirling of the cosmos together.

Day 1- New Years day - I am sitting on a ledge both physically and metaphorically this year is about taking the leap into the next phase of my life. Lets hope I land on both feet.

Day 2 – Experience LA day – View from perishing square, just around the corner from my temporary apartment.

Photobucket

Day 3 – Disneyland day – Clock at Wilshire, looked cool in the fog and at night.

Photobucket

Day 4 – No leaving apartment day – I smoked too many cigarettes and played to much xbox today.

Photobucket

Day 5 – Observatory day – Went to Griffith Observatory today, I learned all about space and had some face time with James Dean.

Photobucket

Day 6 – Blast from the Past day – Met up with an old friend from middle school today. Spent some time thinking about the past and watched the sunset over downtown from the roof.

Photobucket

Day 7 – Self portrait day – I have been experimenting with self portraits recently. I need to get a shutter release thingy but for now I have to hit the timer button repeatedly.

Photobucket

Day 8 – Pirate bar day – Went with Mitch to our favorite bar only to find that the hipsters had invaded it requiring a long wait after the art walk. He took me to another bar a few blocks away that had a pirate theme. Awesome.

Photobucket

Day 9 – Rolling fog day – A heavy fog rolled into downtown and everything looked all eerie, went to the roof and took some more photos.

Photobucket

Day 10 – Haunted hotel day – Wondered around the hotel today, some rooms and floors are completely abandoned, It was too creepy and I scared myself a few times. Took some out of focus pictures of Duncan.

Photobucket

Day 11 – All for me day – Packed my stuff to leave for Sundance, took some photos in bed cause I was feeling saucy.

Photobucket

Day 12 – Full moon bond day – James Bond party and the moon was full. It looked perfect in a way that my camera cannot capture. The clouds and the light were just incredible.

Photobucket

Day 13 – Starfish beach day – Went to the beach with the brother, a very nice way to end my trip. Under the boardwalk we found a starfish, Duncan took it and returned it to the ocean. This is the biggest ripple I have ever witnessed, I feel lighter. Today reminds me of how beautiful the universe can be.

Look foraward to daily posts when I get back from being out on the road.

Patrick - Days 10 & 11

This piece is called breathe.

This piece just struck me because people seemed so nervous. The event itself felt dark and hectic so the feel to it just... fit.

This piece is for day eleven. It is called Memory.

I took in on campus and ironically enough it is for day eleven so. Yeah.

In any case, we should remember to remember the families from that event and the way it has changed things.

Both images went through basic darkrooming.

Sarah Jo Day 10 and 11

Ray of Hope.
Taken while driving around- took it out the car window LOL So I guess you would call this a luck shot. I think it turned out fairly well.
We all go through hard times and face difficulties- we just have to keep looking for the ray of hope and keep on keeping on.

Childhood Innocence

This is an older photo but I havent gotten anything for today and this little guy has actually been on my mind for a while now.

This is Adrian. He is like my adopted nephew- Ive known him since before he was born. His parents were good friends of mine for years. Anyways, over a year ago they divorced and she of course took Adrian. They moved out of state and I havent seen Adrian in over a year. I miss him something terrible and I was thinking about him today and crying cuz I missed him so much. He would be five years old now. Anyways, plesae forgive me for using a recycled photo, it was just something I needed to do.

Alison, Day # 10: South.

Yeah for Houston, the longest city ever.

That's where I took this picture, after being in the car for ten straight hours already, this is how my vision looked even without leaving the shutter open too long. =P

It was a fun drive though. Fun and interesting. I'd never seen a bayou, or an oil refinery. Crazy stuff out this way . . . Texas is a weird state.

I'm on Padre Island right now, it's the longest  barrier island in the world - it definitely has an island feel, but with it's size, I don't really think I'll notice. Who knows.

It's 315 in the morning here. I really need some sleep. Tomorrow is my only day here.

Sorry my posts have been kind of 'meh' lately. And also sorry I'm not commenting nearly as much. I'll get back into it. Everyone should know I'm really pleased with all the contributions. I know already that when I look back on this at the end the year, it'll be my greatest accomplishment.

I love each of you, even the ones I don't know ... yet!

Lily Rose, Day 10: Jason!

Jason has been wanting to join the blog, but hasn't been able to get his goofy hands on a camera yet, so he's my picture of the day. I think you can see why. On top of being an awesome guy, he plays along and goofs off for the camera like no one else I know. I promised him he'd be my picture of the day because he's the best model EVER! You don't even know!!

Feeling Blue...

So this is my first post. Sorry it took so long. This is Ruger. My friend was house sitting for some folks and this is their dog. I was playing around with the color swap on my camera and got this one. I thought it was kind of neat.

10th January 2009

View out from one of our windows. Made the photo about 5pm.. some minutes before it really got dark.

Dennda: January 10

This is the view I see from my faculty's windows. Every day is the same smoke going up, in the sky. I don't know what that building is and why it does that smoke but for sure is not eco friendly ! I took this picture yesterday morning, after the first snow in Bucharest.
