Jason: Day 13, 14, 15,16, 17, 18

I have been a bum lately. Here are the pictures I have taken on the specified days.

Day 13
I have seen this pile of parts for many days now and decided to take a photo. It is very out of the ordinary and catches my eye every day. It is on the sidewalk on the east side of 34th Street here in Gainesville.

Day 14
I took this photo on a rainy day while I was waiting for Lily Rose to come pick me up from work. I like how you can clearly tell that there is a great distance between the trees in the foreground and the trees in the background.

Day 15: "Why Is Everything Wet?"
This bathroom, located at Shands, is always this wet on the counters. It's the most notorious one that I know of at Shands. I took the photo when it made me think of the Dane Cook joke about everything being so wet in public restrooms.

Day 16: "STOP ...And Think"
I took this photo at first to see what the stickers on the stop sign said, but I couldn't figure it out until just now. I did some basic equalizing and desaturated the photo for dramatic effect.

Day 17
I took this photo late on the 31st. I saw the moon and whatever planet that was supposed to be lined up this way and thought it made for a good photo. The shot was a bit shaky, but I think it turned out great. I did some brightness/contrast adjusting and desaturated the picture for the final effect.

Day 18: David Archuleta
I got off work around 2pm and Lily Rose wanted to go see David Archuleta, who was playing at a local restaurant. It was packed by the time we got there, so no way to get a good shot. Unless I climbed up that tree... lol. Anyway, my apologies for the blurriness, but this is the best I could do.

Jason: Day 12

I was hanging out on my day off today at Susan's house. I was sitting at her computer and noticed that the string was hanging down from the edge of the bed. I was instantly inspired to take a photo of this. It would appear to be that the cat on the bed (Tom) is teasing the cat on the floor (Bella) with the string.

Jason: Day 9, Day 10, Day 11

Day 9: "OCD, Exhibit A"
Actually, this is not just a case of OCD (CDO, when alphebetized as it should be), this is actually how we're supposed to organize the pallets at work. My OCD kicks in when I set a limit of 25 bins per stack to keep it neat. I adjusted the color level so that it looked more like the actual colors as seen on any given day. Even though I might have lowered the exposure a bit, it still seems a bit too bright.

Day 10
I had a hard time picking a good sunset photo out of the 39 sunset photos I took on this day. This one struck me the most because of the hard orange color which quickly fades out around the edges. Also, the bush/tree being in the shot adds a certain mood to the shot, don't you think?

Day 11
First of all, I want to say that I cheated on this photo. I did not take any photos on this day, but I thought this shot from the day before was a good shot.
I was sitting at the "front circle" of the hospital and thought I would look around for some interesting shots. I zoomed in real close at the intersection in front of the hospital. This is one of many that I was able to take.

Jason: Day 7, Day 8

Day 7
This photo was taken after Susan (aka: Lily Rose) picked me up to go hang out and take some photos. My vision is not so perfect and I was not aware of the stick that was somehow stuck to this vehicle. She pointed it out and I was able to take the photo using the maximum zoom. We also went to walk around UF campus, but my camera was warning that the battery was running low on power moments after arriving on campus. I got a few shots, but this one really takes the cake for the day!

Day 8: "Don't Fall"
I was forced to get off work early today because of some issues concerning overtime, so I decided to take a trip up to the 11th floor before making my way home. I thought that a photo of the stairwell looking down would be a neat photo, but I found an even better one with this. This photo was taken on the 11th floor stairwell platform, stretching the camera out over the edge and looking down. There's a metal guard there so people don't fall, but leaving that out of the picture makes it seem otherwise. Thinking about it now, it would've had a bigger effect if I had put my feet closer to the edge and made them part of the shot.

Jason: Day 6

I normally go to breakfast at work around 6am, if I go at all. It is usually dark at this time. I got busy and went to breakfast around 8am. After sitting down at my seat (near the window), I decided that the view out the window was pretty spectacular enough to take a photo.

By the way, my last post (here) was aligned properly by using some simple CSS styles. For each DIV tag (see Edit Html tab), I added style="display: table;", which looks like this, without the brackets:

Jason: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5

I really wanted to join the project back at the beginning of the year, but I am glad to be able to finally join here. I purchased my Olympus FE-360 on Friday, Jan. 16th, and hesitated none at taking photos for this project. As of this post, I have taken 137 photos with my new camera, but only 5 of those will be posted here! Without further ado:

Day 1: So, I had just gotten my camera when Susan and I decided to get some food at Sonny's. After a little while of being there, she noticed this man's shirt and directed me to read what the shirt said. She wanted to take the picture and use it for her picture of the day, but her camera couldn't get a good shot of it. So she decided that she would take the picture with mine; thus, allowing me the freedom to use it as my picture of the day. The shirt actually says "I got my meat pulled at Slow and Low Bar-B-Que Bar and Grill".

Day 2: I woke up this morning around 8am. In fact, this photo shows that it was taken at 8:46am. There was a CD sitting on my desk and the light was shining in through my window and reflecting off the CD. Those two main components just lined up for a perfect shot of the day, so I took it. :)

Day 3: I ride my bike back and forth to work. On my ride home, I sometimes ride on the sidewalk and I happen to pass by the wall of art. This caught my eye today and I thought I would take a picture of it. I took the picture in super-macro mode, which actually looks pretty good for a budget-priced camera.

Day 4: I think I was lacking creativity this day and didn't really know what to take a picture of. I took some pictures of some of the places around work that I go, but I figured this one would be best. I am actually riding on my bicycle while taking this photo. I thought it would blur a bit, but it actually looks pretty good. Thank goodness for the wrist-strap. :D

Day 5: I had the idea to take this picture a little while before I purchased this camera and decided to pick this as the photo for today. The idea came up when I saw this graffiti one day and thought about how the big wall of art a couple blocks south of this was meant for that type of thing. I also happened to notice graffiti in another location, but thought this one was a better photo overall.

Lily Rose, Day 10: Jason!

Jason has been wanting to join the blog, but hasn't been able to get his goofy hands on a camera yet, so he's my picture of the day. I think you can see why. On top of being an awesome guy, he plays along and goofs off for the camera like no one else I know. I promised him he'd be my picture of the day because he's the best model EVER! You don't even know!!
