Alison, Day # 11: Texas State Aquarium.

Patrick took me to the Texas State Aquarium.

We loved it. I spent so much time taking pictures of all the fish. We had a good time.

So good, in fact, I couldn't decide what picture to use for today's photo. (although if he would have let me, I would have used a picture of Patrick in his flight suit.)

Anyway. This is obviously a jellyfish. Highly poisonous. Intensely fascinating.

  4. Why do fish (and also amphibians) always have to be so poisonous when they are so nice and colourful?

  5. This is a great photo and reminds me of when we went to the Shark Reef thing in Las Vegas.

You're a talented photographer and also very fun to hang out with.

  6. Thank you kindly, everyone.

Robby: I have to confess, I used just about every setting possible in an attempt to capture a shot like this. But honestly, I guess I just have stable hands. =]

Flying Rhino: funny you mention amphibians - the aquarium also had an exhibit of poison dart frogs. Crazy beautiful creatures, but lethal too.

J.M.: The Shark Reef was the first time I ever photographed jellyfish -- recall I spent about 30 minutes just on them. They had a really neat exhibit there. You're also very fun to hang out with.
